NMARB is thankful to be sponsored by the following organizations:
New Mexico Academy of Rock and Blues is an arts program focused on teaching young people the craft of music and lyrical performance and writing. We apply music of all genres, from classic roots and R-n-B, to Delta blues and contemporary rock –n- Roll, all while inspiring creativity, building confidence and self-esteem, creating friendships, and fostering the ability to accomplish dreams in all aspects of their lives.

Yup, he’s a one man rock band! Glenn is also one of New Mexico's premier DJ's, and you can find him keeping heads bobbing and feet dancing throughout New Mexico.
Brian Shonerd, Piano
I have been a musician for as long as I can remember. Starting with ukulele and guitar as a toddler, I moved on to piano at age 8, drums at age 11, and electric bass as an adult. My lifelong fascination with the piano has led me to study privately with experts in traditional music, jazz, classical music as well as rock’n roll and salsa.
As well as an instrumentalist, I am an avid songwriter and music composer, and the leader of a band where I sing and play electric guitar. I am currently employed at the UNM Ballet School where I play piano music to accompany the ballet students during class.
Although I have had a lifelong passion for music, I decided to study Spanish and Portuguese at UNM where I got my B.A. I lived a year abroad in Spain where I honed my Spanish skills and made friends. After the University I joined the Peace Corps and taught English in high schools and universities throughout Nicaragua. My three passions are music, linguistics and teaching, preferably with some combination of all three.
